Snow Globe Gift Card Holder

Well we are now into the New Year and on to new adventures but I figure it's never too late (or too early if you're like me!) to think about new Christmas ideas! This year my family had quite a few gift cards to give out but I personally don't enjoy just giving a gift card. It don't seem fun or personal to me so this year I got creative. I decided to make snow globes and put the gift cards inside. Everyone that opened a snow globe or saw someone else's loved them and asked where we got them. Everyone was even more excited about them when we told them they were homemade! I'm so excited to share these easy and inexpensive directions with you.

To start this project I was able to gather my supplies from Dollar Tree, Michael's and my home. I purchased glass jars, the gift cards, glitter and other fun items to decorate the snow globes with. I used a hot glue gun to assemble everything which was fast and easy.

I took the lid of the jar off and glued the gift card to it. Then I used the fun little decorations, like the ornament and trees to add more of a "Christmasy" feel (the little trees we stole off of our Christmas village and added them in).

At this point, the lid is done! Now for the fun part...GLITTER!!! I found that putting the glitter in first before the water working better then putting the water in first. In my girly globes I put diamond shaped stones in the jar and then glitter. I then added water to the jars and used a spoon to stir the water and glitter to make sure that I had enough glitter. If I didn't have enough glitter (which really there is NEVER enough glitter) I just kept adding until it was perfect!

Now to combine them! Screw the lid on tight and flip it over. The last part of the project is to decorate the outside. I found cute top hat ornaments at Dollar tree, beads at my house and my mom found adhesive ribbon that matched perfectly. Once you decorate the outside, you're done. That's it!

These are super fun to give to your family and friends! Once they are ready to use the gift card they just flip it over and take it off of the lid. Then they can screw the lid back on and keep the snow globe. Two gifts in one!! I hope you all enjoy this fun gift and had a wonderful holiday!

Jeweled Hand Mirror

Obviously you can bedazzle anything! I think mirrors have so many different uses then just there traditional use like using them as a perfume tray. For young girls you can get a hand mirror at the dollar store and hot glue jewels on them to make them so pretty and princess like. Most young girls want to be princesses and this is something fun you can do for them.

When clicking on the link it takes you to a Miss Piggy Mirror but I just liked the thought of putting jewels on a hand mirror.

I also thought it would be cute to do this with their hair brush or other objects like that! This could be a good party favor as well for a princess party with little nail polishes. The possibilities are endless!

Silverware Tree

I would love to make this! Who wouldn't want a Silverware Tree. I have a few other projects started right now but once those are finished I really want to do this. I looks like it would be a long project but something that you could start and then come back to in your free time. Those are my favorite kinds of projects.

This would be so cool to hang jewelry on instead of a jewelry box. It would be a very interesting piece to have in your room or maybe even in a guest bedroom.
